The Fenix ​​E09R is a pocket EDC flashlight in the shape of a keychain, emitting 600 lumens of light, with five useful light modes, a range of up to 124 m, and an integrated rechargeable battery charged via a USB-C connector.

The Fenix ​​E09R flashlight body is made of aluminum, which is subjected to the HA-III hard anodizing process, so the flashlight body and head are resistant to mechanical damage, scratches and abrasion. Due to the compact size of the flashlight (79 mm), it can be conveniently carried in a pocket or attached as a keychain. The knurled aluminum surface improves grip and prevents the flashlight from slipping out of your hand.

The light source is a powerful SST20 LED, which in serial mode emits a beam of 600 lumens, with a brightness of 3970 candela and an operating range of up to 124 m. The light is spread evenly and widely thanks to the ultra-thin collimating lens. Light beam distribution:

• spot 13° (concentrated),
• dispersion 81° (diffuse).

Operating modes

The user can choose from 5 light modes: moonlight, low, medium, high and burst 600 lumens. In the high 300 lumens mode, the flashlight can operate for up to 90 minutes, in the moonlight mode at 3 lumens - up to 70 hours. For everyday use, the most useful modes are the burst mode (full 600 lumens), designed for short-term but intense lighting, and the moonlight mode. The soft glow of 3 lumens is enough for reading, illuminating a handbag, toolbox or opening a door lock. The flashlight has a smart memory function, which, when turned on again, automatically selects the last mode used before turning off.

Built-in rechargeable battery

The flashlight uses an 800 mAh lithium-polymer rechargeable battery, which is charged via a hidden USB-C connector. The charging port is only accessible by pulling the flashlight body apart, so the port is properly protected from dirt and moisture. Unlike other flashlights with a USB port, the Fenix ​​E09R can light even while charging.

Metal switch with locking function

The flashlight is turned on and modes are changed using the metal switch on the side panel. Flashlight operation:

• Pressing the button all the way down turns the flashlight on and off,
• one-touch mode switching,
• Double clicks activate a locking mechanism that prevents the flashlight from accidentally turning on while carrying it.

The minimalist interface makes the flashlight ideal for everyday use, when most of the time we just need to get light quickly.

Safety features

The flashlight uses an electronic circuit protection system against overheating. The diode, operating in high mode, generates a lot of heat, to reduce the temperature, the controller will automatically reduce the output by several lumens. Due to the high protection class IP68, the flashlight is resistant to complete immersion in water (up to 2 m depth), dust and dirt, as well as falling. The parameters given are obtained under laboratory conditions. A Li-Po 800 mAh battery was used during the tests.
