The Fenix E12 V2.0 is a pocket EDC flashlight that, after the upgrade, emits 160 lumens of light, has three light modes, a longer operating distance, a two-position clip, and an economical driver with no standby current.
Lightweight and durable
The Fenix E1 V2.0 flashlight body is made of hardened aluminum, treated with HA-III hard anodizing, so the flashlight tube and head are resistant to scratches, abrasion and mechanical damage. The 12 mm reduced size makes the flashlight easier to handle and more convenient to use. After the update, the flashlight weighs only 27 g, which is as much as the popular stick battery. The knurled aluminum surface improves grip and prevents the flashlight from slipping out of your hand. The flashlight is turned on and modes are changed in the traditional way - with a rear switch.
Stronger and further
The light source is a powerful Match CA18 cold-colored LED that emits 160 lumens in high mode, with a brightness of 1133 candela and a distance of 68 m. The ultra-thin collimating lens spreads the light evenly and widely (86°).
Operating modes
The user can choose from 3 light modes: low, medium and high. In high mode, the flashlight can operate for up to 60 minutes, and in low mode, the 5 lumen light can operate for up to 70 hours! 5 lumens of illumination is enough to discreetly illuminate the inside of a handbag, toolbox or open a door lock.
Food - easy and accessible
The flashlight is powered by one AA alkaline battery, which can also be replaced with a rechargeable Ni-MH battery. The advantage of such a power source is easy availability, low cost and imperceptible weight of the flashlight. The long operating time of the flashlight is due to the use of a driver that does not consume energy in standby mode.
Rotary switch
The flashlight is turned on and the modes are changed with the rear switch. Fenix E12 V2.0 has an alternative brightness change mode, controlled by a rotating head. Regardless of the mode, the flashlight can be conveniently operated with one hand even in complete darkness. The minimalist interface makes the flashlight ideal for everyday use, when most of the time we just need to get light quickly.
Two-position clamp
The functionality of the E12 V2.0 is greatly enhanced by a two-position clip that allows you to attach the flashlight to the brim of your hat and use it as a headlamp.
Safety features
The flashlight uses a driver with linear operating characteristics. This means that the flashlight automatically reduces the light output (reduces the mode) when the battery voltage decreases. This ensures that the flashlight will function normally until the battery is completely discharged. Thanks to the high IP68 protection class, the flashlight is resistant to complete immersion in water (up to 2 m depth), dust and dirt, and falls. Fenix E12 V2.0 is a lightweight and convenient flashlight with an efficient light output, which is perfect for everyday use, as part of EDC equipment or as a spare flashlight. The parameters given are obtained under laboratory conditions. A pair of alkaline batteries were used during testing.
