The Fenix WT16R body is made of polycarbonate, so the flashlight is not only resistant to falls and mechanical damage, but also lightweight. With a built-in rechargeable battery, the flashlight weighs just 129 g, so you can even forget that it is on your belt or in your pocket. The body is rectangular in shape, so it does not slip out of your hands and is very convenient and comfortable to use. Among the desirable features of any workshop flashlight is simple and universal mounting. Therefore, the Fenix WT16R uses a double mounting system, namely a sturdy steel clip that allows you to carry the flashlight on a tool belt, overalls or next to a bag, and magnetic plates that allow you to quickly attach it to steel surfaces. This functionality allows you to set the lamp at a desired angle, making it perfect for all types of repair work, inspections, and illuminating hard-to-reach areas.Concentrated or diffused light?
The light source is two front Cree XP-E2 LEDs (spotlight) and a side COB LED panel that emits diffused light. COB (Chip-on-Board) technology has allowed for a higher density of the LED array, resulting in a more intense and uniform diffused light. The focused light, with a maximum range of 115 m, has 3 brightness levels: maximum 300 lumens, medium 100 lumens and low 30 lumens. In diffused light mode, the user can use the following modes: maximum 300 lumens, low 100 lumens and a yellow flashing light, which can act as a warning light, for example, at the scene of an accident or in a dangerous area. Depending on the work being done, we can choose a longer-range light or a light that better illuminates the space directly in front of us, making the flashlight ideal for workshops, building inspections, industry, etc. The flashlight can be turned on and the modes can be changed using the side switch with a built-in battery charge level indicator.Rechargeable battery with USB-C charging function
The manufacturer used a 3.7 V Li-Po battery with a capacity of 2000 mAh to power the flashlight. According to the manufacturer, the battery used allows for almost 4 hours of operation in the maximum 300 lumen mode or up to 30 hours in the low 30 lumen mode. In addition, thanks to the battery charge level indicator function (LED on the side switch), we can control the operation of the flashlight and manage the remaining power reserve. Each time the switch is pressed (with the flashlight turned off), the LED informs us in real time about the battery status. Charging is via a USB-C connector. Full charging time is only 100 minutes (2A charging), which is very important when working, when you need to use the flashlight frequently. The flashlight has reverse polarity protection, an on/off switch lock, and a memory mode. This function remembers and starts the flashlight in the last mode used before turning off the flashlight. The parameters presented were obtained under laboratory conditions.
